、在熱帶海洋多風暴
如北太平洋西南部分與中國南海是臺風生成和影響強烈的地區(qū)。熱帶風暴(包括臺風)是一種十分重要的氣象災害。
6、多云霧天氣，濕度大
多數臨近海洋的大陸地區(qū)，都具有海洋性氣候特征，西歐沿海地區(qū)是大陸上典型的海洋性氣候區(qū)。位于南北緯40至60度的大陸西岸，除亞洲和南極洲沒有外，其余各大洲都有，其中以歐洲大陸西部及不列顛群島（歐洲大陸）zui為典型。溫帶海洋性氣候往往僅分布在狹長地帶或島嶼上。
溫帶海洋性氣候在西歐zui為典型，分布面積zui大，在美洲大陸西岸相應的緯度地帶以及大洋洲的塔斯馬尼亞島和新西蘭等地也有分布。屬于這一氣候的有西北歐、加拿大太平洋沿岸、智利南部及澳大利亞的東南一小部分。
西歐位于北緯30-40°左右，受偏西風的影響，從大西洋上吹來的水汽可以影響到。而北美洲的地形是西邊高，中間底，東邊略高，從太平洋上吹來的水汽被落基山脈阻擋，只有沿海邊緣地區(qū)才能受到影響，且有阿拉斯加暖流經過。所以北歐范圍大，北美洲范圍小。溫帶海洋性氣候，緯度較高，陰雨天氣多，熱量和光照條件一般不太適合發(fā)展種植業(yè)（巴黎盆地除外，那里熱量條件較好，有種植業(yè)分布），一般以畜牧業(yè)（如蘇格蘭北部），花卉種植業(yè)（如荷蘭）等對熱量要求較小的農業(yè)類型為主。

該氣候不利于糧食作物及油料作物的生長，但利于多汁牧草生長。
19世紀末就有人發(fā)現，在歐洲，海洋性氣候條件下生產長的小麥，蛋白質含量小，至多只有4～8%。隨著深入大陸，到俄羅斯歐洲部分，小麥的蛋白質含量增高達9～12%，在比較干燥炎熱的地區(qū)，小麥的蛋白質含量增高到18%，甚至在20%以上，原蘇聯科學家證明：一個地區(qū)的氣候大陸性越強，小麥的蛋白質含量也就越高。在氣候溫涼潮濕的地方，小麥的淀粉含量增加，而蛋白質含量卻降低。人們?yōu)榱搜a充蛋白質的不足，只好借助于肉類，但是又帶來脂肪過多的缺點。可見，海洋性氣候對農業(yè)并不很有利。年降水量1000～1500毫米。
